PRIVACY POLICY

 

a. Your Information

 

If you choose to use Tripmeo, we will receive a number of different types of information about you. In this document, such information is referred to as “Your Information”.

 

i. Your information is the information that is required when you sign up for the site, as well as any information you choose to share. This includes:

 

ii. Registration information: When you sign up for Tripmeo, you are required to provide information such as your name, email address, birthday, and gender. In some cases, you may be able to register using other information, like your telephone number.

 

iii. Information you choose to share: Your information also includes the information you choose to share on Tripmeo, such as when you upload data, or comment on another Users submission

 

iv. “Your Information” also includes the information you choose to share when you take an action, such as when you upload data or make any submissions in any format to the service.

 

 

b.  Payment Processes

 

vi. Tripmeo does not store your payment details, including your credit card information. Payments are taken through PayPal.

 

vii. If you make a Payment to the Service, you must ensure that you read the PayPal Terms of Service and related Policies

 

c.  Information others share about you

 

i. We receive information about you from other users, such as when they upload your contact information, interact with you using the service or otherwise upload information about you.

 

ii. We receive data about you whenever you interact with Tripmeo, such as when you look at another person's submissions, send or receive a message, make a search enquiry, click on, view or otherwise interact with things or make other purchases Tripmeo.

 

iii. Our website uses cookies. Like most websites these will be transferred to your hard drive if you choose to use the Website. You can always delete cookies.

 

iv. We receive data from your computer, mobile phone or other device you use to access Tripmeo, including when multiple users log in from the same device. This may include your IP address and other information about things like your Internet service, location, the type of browser you use, or the pages you visit. For example, we may get your GPS or other location information as part of the location based services provided.

 

v. We receive data whenever you visit or use and of the pages or features of the Service. This may include the date and time you visit the site; the web address, or URL, you're on; technical information about the IP address, browser and the operating system you use; and, if you are logged in to Tripmeo, your User ID.

 

vi. We also receive data from our affiliates or our advertising partners, customers and other third parties that help us deliver advertisements and other marketing materials. For example, an advertiser may tell us information about you in order to measure the effectiveness of - and improve the quality of - advertisements.

 

vii. We put together data from the information we already have about you and any users you are linked to on Tripmeo. We may put together your current city with GPS and other location information we have about you to, for example, tell you about people or events nearby, or offer deals to you that you might be interested in. We may also put together data about you to serve you advertisements that might be more relevant to you.

 

viii. When we get your GPS location, we put it together with other location information we have about you (like your current city).

 

 

d. Public information

 

i. The phrase "public information” means the information you choose to make public, as well as information that is always publicly available. This is often referred to as information which is “in the public domain”.

 

e. Information you choose to make public

 

i. Choosing to place your information in the public domain also means that this information:

 

ii. Can be freely associated with (i.e., your name, comments ect.) even off Tripmeo;

 

iii. If you choose to use Tripmeo by loggin in via Facebook, Twitter or any other social networking site, you must ensure you are familiar with these separate terms and conditions as Tripmeo cannot be held liable for any loss or damage incurred by using these sites to access Tripmeo.

 

f. Usernames and User IDs

 

i. A Username or ID is a custom link identifying your Tripmeo account.. 

 

ii. If someone has your Username or User ID, they can use it to access information about you through the Service. Specifically, they can access your public information.

 

g. How we use the information we receive

 

i.  We use the information we receive about you in connection with the services and features we provide to you and other users, our partners, the advertisers that purchase advertisements on the site, and the developers that build the applications and software that you use. For example, we may use the information we receive about you:

 

ii. as part of our efforts to keep Tripmeo products, services and integrations safe and secure;

 

iii. to protect Tripmeo's or others' rights or property;

 

iv. to provide you with location features and services,

 

v. to measure or understand the effectiveness of advertisements you and others see, including to deliver relevant advertisements to you

 

vi. for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research and service improvement.

 

vii. While you are allowing us to use the information we receive about you, you always own all of your information. We don't share information we receive about you with others unless we have:

 

viii. Received your permission; or

 

ix. Given you notice, such as by telling you about it in this policy; or

 

x. Removed your name or any other personally identifying information from it.

 

xi. We store data for as long as it is necessary to provide products and services to you and others, including those described above. Information associated with your account will be kept until your account is deleted. For certain categories of data, we may also tell you about specific data retention practices.

 

xii. Tripmeo enables users to upload content such as photographs and textual comments. Once you upload any content you grant to Tripmeo a universal license to use any such content for marketing, in data retention practices and in any other way where we give you notice. Tripmeo reserves the right to remove any inappropriate materials uploaded to Tripmeo without notice to you.

 

xiii. You agree that your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers or computers located outside your Jurisdiction.

 

h. Data Protection

 

i.  You can always access any personal data which belongs to you within the remit of this policy, and update or correct such information, by logging into your account or by contacting our Customer Support team by E-Mail.

 

ii. Tripmeo may change this Privacy Policy at any time (as recited in the Terms and Conditions) and without personal notice to you. Tripmeo will endeavour to notify users of such a change. You are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy yourself on a regular basis if you foresee any changes affecting you adversely. If you do not agree to any revisions of the Privacy Policy your sole remedy is to stop using the site.
